Wandong Live Steamers Inc is a not for profit association established for the enjoyment in construction and running of model locomotives and rollingstock in a prototypical manner.
Our track is located 40 minutes North East of Melbourne on the Hume Highway amidst eight hectares of hills and plains with a perennial flowing creek.
The track consists of over 900 metres of 5 inch gauge ground level track with steaming up bays, extensive yards, passing loops and bridges.
Ammenities have been built on site, with the club house being an ex Victorian Railways VVDY guards van and storage area being an ex Victorian Railways B Van.
Membership enquiries are welcome and membership consists of a once-off joining fee, annual fee and the insurance fee.
Expenditure for capital works, maintenance and site services comes from membership fees.
There is no running for the public to generate revenue and the facilities are for the sole use of members and invited guests.
Being in a natural enviroment restrictions are in place for the operation of steam locomotives during the fire season.Wandong Live Steamers is affiliated with the Australian Association of Live Steamers and standards and operating criteria are within their guidelines.
